The simple things that have been making me smile this week are:
Going to the Royal Northern Ballet performance of Romeo & Juliet with my mum. It’s become a tradition that we go each year. It is, without fail, always incredible. This year’s was no exception. I definitely cried.
Daffodils. My favourite ever flower. I can’t help but smile when I see a vase of these in the house.
Baths filled with Lush goodies. In particular their new Easter bits; bunch of carrots and dragon’s egg.
What things have been brightening the beginning of March for you?
Totally agree with the daffodils – they’re just the happiest flower. I think combination of their sunny yellow colour and the fact that they herald the arrival of spring make them symbolise good cheer to me.

Definitely. I’m planning on having these bad boys in my wedding bouquet next year. They’re just so cheery!

Definitely jumping in on the daffodil love too. I’ve bought loads over the past few weeks for our flat and my desk at work. They’re just so cheerful!
All the other signs of spring have been brightening my March too. Bird song, budding flowers, frogspawn, lighter evenings, (warm!) sunshine; I can’t get enough of it! x
